WELCOME TO MY STUDIO
My paintings are visual narratives. I am inspired by nature and guided by intuition. In my work are the echos of my ancestors, impressions of my childhood, and a desire to explore the connection between humans, the world we live in, and the universe that surrounds us.
WHAT IS INTUITIVE STORYTELLING?
Intuitive storytelling is a painting technique I use for all my artwork on canvas and paper. With different materials like acrylic paint, oil and chalk pastels, collage and ink I create what I call "rhythmic chaos." In this chaos figures and elements emerge from the background. Then I abstract these elements, which reveal beautiful stories. I never know what will be seen on my canvas. The process is inspiring and magical!
I have had the pleasure of teaching this technique in various online courses.

FOLK DOLL SCULPTURES
My paper-clay sculptures are handmade and consist mainly of recycled materials. The figures have a folk art style that is organic and unique.
Stop Motion Animation
Stop Motion animation is a filmmaking technique in which objects are physically manipulated in small increments between individually photographed frames. Objects appear to exhibit independent motion or change when the series of frames is played back.
In 2017, I stumbled upon the work of pioneer filmmaker Lotte Reiniger. Her groundbreaking films, including the very first animated movie The Adventures Of Prince Achmed, sparked my fascination and interest in this magical form of art.
